Southern Comfort® Ice Cream Products
Launch in Time for the Holidays

LOUISVILLE, KY - IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands, announced today a new licensing agreement it has negotiated for Brown-Forman's world famous Southern Comfort® brand. Joining forces with Minnesota dairy company Kemps Ice Cream, two premium flavored ice cream products launch this week in supermarkets across the country: Southern Comfort Egg Nog Flavored Ice Cream and Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice Flavored Ice Cream.

"Southern Comfort, created by New Orleans bartender M.W. Heron in 1874, is a premium, smooth tasting liqueur with a combination of whiskey, fruit and spice flavors," said Kirsten Hawley, Southern Comfort Global Marketing Manager. "This truly unique American brand has already successfully bridged into other non-alcoholic food categories with products including our premium Southern Comfort Egg Nog, the fastest growing holiday egg nog in the dairy case as well as a line of Southern Comfort Gourmet Coffees. We are excited to bring the famous Southern Comfort flavors now to the ice cream aisle in time for holiday entertaining."

Southern Comfort Egg Nog Flavored Ice Cream has a rich and creamy egg nog flavor with a hint of nutmeg and other Southern Comfort spices, great on its own or as the perfect addition to the holiday punch bowl. Southern Comfort Vanilla Spice Flavored Ice Cream is a rich and creamy vanilla ice cream with a hint of holiday spice, the perfect topping for traditional holiday desserts. Both products are based on unique combinations of fruit and spice flavors, creating smooth, delicious, non-alcoholic desserts. The two Southern Comfort flavored ice cream products do not contain alcohol.

"We are delighted to bring Southern Comfort and Kemps together to turn the Southern Comfort brand into two great new dessert products," said Cara Bernosky, President of IMC Licensing. "Building on the success of other Southern Comfort licensed food products and its unique flavor profile, we believe that Southern Comfort ice cream will not only delight customers but will reinforce the brand's role in creating good times between friends."

Southern Comfort Ice Cream products will be available nationwide at Wal-Mart, as well as select Super Target, Hy-Vee, Pick'n Save, Shop N Save, Food City Stores and other quality grocery retailers. The convenient 32 oz. quart size has a suggested retail price of two for $5.00.
