IMC Licensing Executives Continue Thought-Leading Participation at Major Food and Beverage Forums

LOUISVILLE, KY – IMC Licensing, the nation’s leading full-service licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands, is becoming THE industry thought-leader in food and beverage licensing with continued participation and leadership at prominent trade shows, forums and events. No other licensing agency represents more food and beverage brands than IMC Licensing.

·        IMC Licensing Chairman and Co-Founder, Stephen Reily, just spoke earlier this week at the 2007 Private Label Trade Show, an annual event presented by the Private Label Manufacturers Association (PLMA) and provided an overview of Trends in the Food Licensing industry. The trade show, which took place November 11 – 13, 2007 in Chicago, is where buyers and executives from virtually all the top retail chains meet manufacturers to identify the latest innovative products and merchandising marketing concepts.

With more than 5,000 visitors and 2,000 buyers, PLMA is the largest show of its kind in the U.S. The show will present more than 2,000 exhibit booths with the latest products, packaging and promotional ideas. Product categories include fresh, frozen and refrigerated foods, snacks and shelf-stable groceries, health and beauty, household and kitchen products, paper and plastics, general merchandise, consumer electronics, home/office and DIY.

·        Bruce Bridges, IMC Licensing Vice President, Licensing, also participated last week at the FMI – SQF (Safe Quality Food) Institute International Conference in Nashville, TN where the discussion centered around consumer confidence in the food supply and what all stakeholders in the global food market need to do to maintain that confidence. Participants included supermarket and foodservice retailers, food sector training organizations and consultants, food safety auditors, primary producers, food processors and regulatory bodies.

Both men are extremely involved in the licensing industry, not only as speakers but as active participants. Mr. Reily serves on the Advisory Board of the Licensing Journal, where for three years he wrote a monthly column on corporate trademark licensing. He serves on the Education Committee and has served as an officer of the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers' Association (LIMA), the trade organization of the licensing industry, and is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) and the Licensing Executives Society (LES). In addition, Mr. Reily has published articles in BRANDWEEK, brandchannel.com among others, and has been a featured speaker at leading industry events including Licensing University, LINK and The Licensing Letter Symposium.

Mr. Bridges has been a featured speaker, as an expert on quality standards and best practices among licensors, at the International Consumer Product Health & Safety Organization (ICPHSO) Symposium and led a bench marking panel at the Society for Product Licensors Committed to Excellence (SPLiCE).
