IMC Licensing Announces New Hires & Promotions

LOUISVILLE, KY - IMC Licensing, the nation’s leading licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands, has recruited two new executives and promoted several of its current employees to new executive positions.

KIM STEADMAN has joined IMC Licensing as Licensing Manager with over 12 years of licensing experience with corporate brands. She will be responsible for developing and managing portfolios of license agreements for IMC clients.

Before joining IMC, Kim was Corporate Licensing Manager for Yamaha Motor Corp., USA and previously Licensing Coordinator for American Honda Motor Co., Inc. In her roles at both Yamaha and Honda, Kim established internal licensing departments with responsibilities that included strategy development and implementation, seeking and securing profitable licenses for the company, building style guides and educating executive management on the licensing business.

Kim previously served on the board of directors of the Society for Product Licensors Committed to Excellence (SPLiCE) and is a member of the Licensors Industry Merchandising Association (LIMA).

ROBERT HEAVRIN has joined IMC as Licensing Coordinator. He is a 2005 graduate of the University of Louisville where he received a B.S.B.A. in Marketing and served as President of the Student Marketing Association. Robert also completed a year-long merchandising internship with GE.

At IMC, Robert will be responsible for the coordination of existing licensing programs, assisting in the business development and licensing development process and providing creative project and public relations support.

BRUCE D. BRIDGES, previously Senior Licensing Manager, has been promoted to Vice President, Licensing. In this role, Bruce will be responsible for the development and management of licensing programs for the corporate trademarks and brands IMC represents and for the development and management of IMC licensing professionals in the conduct of this work.

Before joining IMC, Bruce was a Business Development Manager for Intel Corporation where he specialized in moving new technology from the labs into the marketplace through internal and external licensing deals. He also has entertainment and consulting industry experience. Bruce received a B.S. in Management from the University of Texas, a B.S. in Recording Industry Management from Middle Tennessee State University and a Marketing M.B.A. from the University of Tennessee.

Bruce has been a featured speaker at industry events including the International Consumer Product Health & Safety Organization (ICPHSO) Symposium and the Society for Product Licensors Committed to Excellence (SPLiCE) as an expert on quality standards and best practices among licensors.

SEAN HEITKEMPER, previously Business Development Manager, has been promoted to Vice President, Business Development. In this role, Sean will be responsible for identifying and developing new client relationships for IMC with key brands across a wide variety of consumer product brand categories.

Before joining IMC, Sean led business development activities for DeLor Brand Identity Consultants, a leading corporate and product branding firm. Sean has developed key strategic relationships with many leading consumer product companies including Microsoft, Brown-Forman, GE Consumer Products, Maytag/Amana Appliances and Sprint. Sean earned a B.A. from the University of Louisville.

PAULA N. PHILLIPS, previously Licensing Manager, has been promoted to Senior Licensing Manager. In this role, Paula will be responsible for developing and managing portfolios of license agreements for IMC clients. Paula has a proven track record establishing licensing programs for many top consumer product brands including Life Savers, Milk-Bone, Oreo and Planters.

Before joining IMC, Paula was an Intellectual Property Consultant with ICMB Ocean Tomo and Tait Advisory Services where she provided expert services for companies involved in trademark and other intellectual property infringement and licensing matters. She received an M.B.A. with a focus in marketing from Indiana University and a B.A. from the University of Kentucky.

Paula is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
