Announces Representation of MTD Products
for Cub-Cadet, Troy-Bilt and Yard-Man Brands
LOUISVILLE, KY -- IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service
licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands,
announced today that it has entered into a representation
agreement with MTD Products Inc., a leading global manufacturer
of outdoor power equipment including garden tractors, lawn
trimmers and mowers. IMC will develop a portfolio of new brand-building
products for MTD’s world-renowned CUB CADET®, TROY-BILT®
and YARD-MAN® brands.
Since MTD was founded in 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, the company
has been known for its unrelenting focus on hard work, innovation
and quality. Originally a tool and die supplier to the local
manufacturing community, MTD later expanded into consumer
products by supplying steel stampings for the toy industry
and complete products like tricycles. In the early 1950’s,
wheelbarrows were added to the consumer product line which
had a profound effect on the direction the business would
grow, launching a line of yard products and later their first
lawnmower in 1958.
Today, MTD has fulfilled the “American Dream”
of its immigrant co-founders and has become a leader in designing
and building durable, easy-to-use outdoor power equipment.
