Licensing Announces Flavored Lip Care Products Leveraging
Iconic Wrigley’s Chewing Gum Brands
LOUISVILLE, KY –
IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service
licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands,
announced today that it has negotiated a new licensing
agreement for the
Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. the world's largest manufacturer and
marketer of chewing gum, to develop
a line of flavored lip care products including lip balms and
glosses for the Wrigley’s Brands, Big Red®,
Juicy Fruit®, Doublemint®,
Winterfresh® and Wrigley’s Spearmint®.
The licensee is New York based
Lotta Luv, a producer of more than 200 candy
flavor lip balms and glosses.
The lip care products will be introduced in the Fall of 2008.
Distribution channels are expected to include traditional
mass, supermarket and specialty retailers such as Limited
Too, Urban Outfitters, and Claire’s. In addition to this
assortment, Lotta Luv has also created the ON10® brand,
exclusively for Sephora, available in time for Holiday 2008.
The lip care product launch will coincide with the
introduction of the Wrigley’s Brands new Slim Pack™
envelope. The cool new Slim Pack, a sleek, 15-stick envelope
package, represents category-changing innovation that has
been two years in the making. The Slim Pack is designed to
make these iconic chewing gum brands more contemporary for
today’s consumer because it is more durable and portable for
their on-the-go lifestyle. The new packaging is coupled with
significant flavor improvements across these stick-brands.
