Licensing Announces Cub Cadet Lawn Care and Garden
Accessories
LOUISVILLE, KY – IMC Licensing,
the nation’s leading full-service licensing
agency specializing in consumer
product brands, announced today that it
has negotiated a new licensing
agreement for MTD Products, Inc.’s world-renowned CUB CADET®
brand to develop a complete line of branded lawn care and
garden accessories in conjunction with Brinly-Hardy Company,
a leading manufacturer of lawn care and garden products
since 1839.
“We are delighted to bring together MTD Products and Brinly-Hardy
to launch this premium line of CUB CADET® branded
accessories targeting discriminating residential consumers
as well as hobby farmers,” said Cara Bernosky, President of
IMC Licensing. “MTD Products Inc. is well known as a leading
global manufacturer of outdoor power equipment including
garden tractors, lawn trimmers and mowers and we believe
that by keeping in the lawns and garden space where their
brands have the most consumer relevance, these and other new
products will be able to leverage brand equities.”
A line of ten distinct and premium CUB CADET® brand-building
new products soon available will include a steel cart, poly
cart with tool divider, newly designed broadcast spreader,
lawn sweeper, tow sprayer, dethatcher, spike aerator, plug
aerator and poly lawn roller.
Anne Gruettner, Licensing Director of MTD Products, Inc.,
added, “We are very excited to launch this program and
create a strong accessory program for our retail network of
over 3,700 dealerships as well as for the mass retailers.
Creating an accessory program with the breadth of product
offerings as we are introducing, allows us to meet strong
consumer needs and to extend our brand presence in other
lawn care channels.”
”The complete line of Cub Cadet® lawn care and garden
accessories was introduced to the Cub Cadet® Independent
Dealer Network at the Cub Cadet® Dealer Meeting held in
Louisville, Kentucky in late October 2006 with initial items
available in early 2007,” said Kim Steadman, Licensing
Manager for IMC Licensing. “Distribution channels are
expected to include MTD Products’ established tractor supply
retail channels including The Home Depot, Cub Cadet® dealers
and other independent retailers.”
