Brand Highlights
- Black & Decker
by Applica Appliances has a new 2 tank professional steam
iron designed to work with Downy Wrinkle Releaser.
- Lifetime Brands enters
the cookware market with a good, better, best offering using
the Cuisine de France, Hoffritz, and Sabatier brands.
- The tea segment has
proved to be hot this year. New entries include the Sunbeam
Tea Drop hot tea maker from Jarden Consumer Products and
Bodum’s complete line of tea pots and accessories
from the maker of the iconic French-press coffee maker.
- Thermos’ new
E5 Series of insulated beverage containers is targeted specifically
to the active outdoor lifestyle featuring caribiner clips
and rugged construction.
- Henckels expands into
cookware with new line of high-end stainless cookware and
a new Japanese inspired cutlery line called Miyabi.
Licensing Trends and Thoughts
- Magic Chef, the appliance
line formerly manufactured by Maytag, has been reborn through
a unique licensing partnership with E-Wave. The Chicago-based
company holds the exclusive license to build out an entire
line of small appliances, cookware, and accessories.
- Wusthoff, Solingen’s
famous cutlery maker, has introduced a new line of Emerilware
cutlery to compliment All-Clad’s cookware. Emeril’s
face seems omnipresent these days.
- Oregon Scientific
introduces a new line of John Deere branded home weather
stations, weather radios and remote rain monitors.
- McCullough enters
the steam cleaner market to compete in a largely unbranded
space against Euro brands like Scunci.
- Evercare, the lint
roller people, have introduced an entire line of garment
care options under the Woolite brand.
