IMC Licensing Announces New Licensing Deals for Pure Fishing

Sport Fishing Gear and Accessories to Launch at ICAST 2007

LOUISVILLE, KY – IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands, announced today that it has negotiated multiple new licensing agreements for Pure Fishing, the world’s largest fishing tackle company. A line of sport fishing gear and accessories, including technical fishing apparel, will be produced by The Outdoor Recreation Group and will be launched at ICAST 2007, held July 11 – 13, 2007, in Las Vegas. The Outdoor Recreation Group will license products for Berkley® as well as SpiderWire®, Stren®, Abu Garcia®, Mitchell® and Fenwick® brands.

According to Cara Bernosky, IMC Licensing President and Co-Founder, “We are delighted to bring together Pure Fishing and The Outdoor Recreation Group to launch these premium sport fishing products for anglers of all ages. In working with The Outdoor Recreation Group, a leading manufacturer of essential gear for outdoor enthusiasts, we look forward to developing a host of new products which leverage Pure Fishing’s passion for the outdoors and the pursuit of the catch.”

As a result of this licensing agreement, a line of technical fishing apparel will soon be available at mass and sporting goods retailers in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Licensed products will include fishing shirts, rain jackets and pants, rain ponchos, lightweight jackets, shorts, pants, soft-sided tacklebags, backpacks, dufflebags, other soft-sided bags, rod and reel covers, waistpacks, fishing towels, bait buckets, float tubes and waders. These products will be introduced at ICAST 2007 with initial shipments expected in February 2008.

In addition, IMC Licensing has negotiated two other licensing agreements for Pure Fishing:

Casual and Technical Headwear for Youth, Men and Women for Berkley®, Abu Garcia®, SpiderWire®, Stren®, Mitchell®, Fenwick® and 7Strand® brands. The licensee for these new apparel products is Arkansas-based Outdoor Cap, a provider of quality headwear for the fishing and hunting industries. Distribution channels are expected to include independent retailers, sporting good retailers, mass retailers and eCommerce. Casual headwear launched at Shot Show 2007 and technical headwear will launch at ICAST 2007.

Abu Garcia® Men’s Loungewear. The licensee for this new apparel line is San Francisco-based MjC. Images of Abu Garcia rods and reels along with the Abu Garcia logo and fishing-themed designed loungewear launched at MAGIC in Las Vegas in February 2007. Distribution channels are expected to include mass market, mid-tier department stores, sporting good retailers and independent retailers.
