IMC
Licensing Announces Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Hot
Cocoa Mix
LOUISVILLE, KY –
IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service
licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands,
announced today that it has negotiated a new licensing
agreement for
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Inc., the largest
chain of retail chocolate stores in the United States, to
develop a premium hot cocoa mix.
The licensee is Lehi, Utah-based
Lehi Roller Mills, a producer of flour and gourmet
brownie, pancake, muffin and cookie mixes, known for their
cloth bag packaging.
According to Cara Bernosky, IMC Licensing president and
co-founder, “Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory is the largest
U.S. chocolate retailer in terms of locations, now
surpassing Godiva and See's, with over 330 stores in the
U.S., Canada and the United Arab Emirates.. We are delighted
to bring together this established chocolate brand and Lehi
Roller Mills, one of the dominant mills in the marketplace
with over 100 years of experience, to launch a premium hot
cocoa mix. We see great potential in leveraging Rocky
Mountain Chocolate Factory’s well-known reputation for
unsurpassed chocolate quality and freshness by introducing
this and other great new products to chocolate lovers across
the nation.”
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory retail
locations
typically produce approximately 300 chocolate candies and other
confectionery products, using proprietary recipes developed
primarily by the company’s master candy maker. These
products include many varieties of clusters, caramels,
creams, meltaways, truffles and molded chocolates.
Individual stores prepare a variety of caramel and candy
apples, fudge, chocolate items and confections in full view
of the customer using traditional cooking utensils such as
copper kettles on gas-fired stoves and marble slab cooling
tables.
Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Hot Cocoa Mix was
introduced this spring at the Fancy Food Show in New York. It will be available in
single serve, multi-packs and gift at mass merchants and in
grocery, drug and club stores.
“IMC Licensing also plans
to explore the development of additional
brand-building new products for Rocky
Mountain Chocolate Factory,” said
Todd Donaldson, IMC Licensing’s Vice President, Licensing
Sales.
