Remington Arms Launches Premium

Steak Snacks
 

LOUISVILLE, KY – Remington Arms Company, Inc., home of America’s oldest gunmaker, and Chattanooga, Tennessee-based TrailSteaks, a provider of premium jerky and smoked meats, have entered into an agreement to launch a line of premium steak snacks. IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands, assisted in developing Remington’s partnership with TrailSteaks.

According to Cara Bernosky, IMC Licensing president and co-founder, “We are delighted to bring together Remington Arms and TrailSteaks to launch this line of premium steak snacks. Remington has an established and impressive portfolio of high quality licensed outdoor products, and we see great potential in linking this historic brand to food products that build the brand’s relationship with outdoor enthusiasts. At the same time, TrailSteaks is known for their mouth-watering premium fresh jerky and smoked meat products, including unique offerings like venison steak and turkey snacks, and is a great fit with the iconic Remington brand.”

Since it was founded in 1816 in upstate New York, Remington is one of the nation’s oldest continuously operating manufacturers and the only U.S. manufacturer of both firearms and ammunition products. Today Remington designs, produces and sells sporting goods products for the hunting and shooting sports markets as well as military, government and law enforcement markets.

According to Scott Lester, director of Remington Licensing and Accessories, “We are excited to expand the Remington’s brand exposure outside of its core sporting goods channel and into the food market to reach consumers in their day to day lives. In addition, all of the packaging for this new line of snack products will feature fine-art reproductions of vintage wildlife and sportsmen’s artwork from the collections of Remington Arms, thus celebrating our heritage.”   

The complete line of Remington Premium Meat Snacks will include premium jerky, steak snacks and sausage sticks, including venison steak and turkey snacks. These products will soon be available at sporting goods retailers as well convenience stores, club stores, grocery stores, home improvement stores, mass retailers, military stores, parks and resorts and as part of fund raisers in the United States and Canada. The product was introduced at the All Candy Expo in Chicago on May 20, 2008.
