LOUISVILLE, KY -- IMC Licensing, the nation's leading full-service
licensing agency specializing in consumer product brands,
announced today that its co-founder and president, Cara K.
Bernosky, has been named to Business First of Louisville's
"Forty Under 40" list. Ms. Bernosky was recognized today at
Business First's tenth annual "Forty Under 40" awards luncheon,
held at the Kentucky International Convention Center and attended
by more than 300 people.
Each year, Business First recognizes 40 area young professionals
who have demonstrated that they are and will play a vital
role in the future of the community. According to Tom Monahan,
Business First's publisher, the 2005 winners were selected
by a panel of judges from over 200 area businesspeople and
civic leaders who were nominated for the honor.
Ms. Bernosky is active in the community and was a member of
the 2002 Leadership Louisville class. Also, she co-founded
the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kentucky in 2001 and has served
on the board of directors of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of
Greater Ohio and Kentucky since that time. She currently serves
on the organization’s marketing task force and finance
committee, and chairs the 2005 Board Annual Campaign. Ms.
Bernosky has a long-time interest in Make-A-Wish and has volunteered
for the organization since 1992, continuing to help organize
wish fulfillment events and other special events today. In
addition, when she was Miss Pennsylvania USA in 1996 –
1997, Make-A-Wish was her platform issue.
As president of IMC, Ms. Bernosky is responsible for managing
the day-to-day operations of the organization. Since co-founding
the company in 1997, she has developed wide-ranging portfolios
of licensed products for several clients and has led the process
by which IMC develops its own portfolio of new clients. She
works intimately with clients and internal staff on strategy
and the plan by which IMC will develop licensing portfolios.
Before joining IMC, Ms. Bernosky worked for International
Sports Marketing, Inc. where she represented professional
athletes in licensing and other transactions, for Network
International and for the Pittsburgh Pirates Baseball Club.
