KRAFT Foods
Announces New Licensing Deals
“Kool-Aid Stand” Serves Up Summertime Refreshments
Northfield, IL, June 10, 2004 – Just in time for summer,
Kraft Foods, Inc., has announced a new licensing agreement
that will bring Kool-Aid stands to sidewalks, driveways and
backyards across the country. Kraft has licensed Kool-Aid
and Kool-Aid Man™ to Kids Only! for a branded Kool-Aid Stand
for kids ages six and older. The Kool-Aid Stand is one of
three new licensing deals Kraft has recently completed.
The Kool-Aid Stand has a washable, heavy-duty vinyl front
and an adjustable canopy. Its sturdy tubular steel construction
makes this stand ideal for indoor or outdoor use. Kids Only!
is based in Framingham, MA and is dedicated to offering children
and parents a wide selection of doll strollers, children's
patio furniture and other great games. Kraft also secured
a licensing agreement with clothing company MjC for a line
of men’s novelty lounge pants and boxers, featuring Kool-Aid
and Kool-Aid Man™, Oscar Mayer® and Jell-O®. Based in San
Francisco, CA, MjC is a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality
neckwear, boxer shorts, and sleepwear.
In addition, Funko, Inc. will create a line of Wacky Wobblers
bobbing head dolls featuring three of Kraft’s most popular
brand spokes-characters: Kool-Aid Man, Planters® Mr. Peanut™
and Golden Crisp® Sugar Bear™. Funko is a Washington state-based
leader in the manufacture of bobbing heads, having sold over
1.5 million Wacky Wobblers. All three deals were secured and
negotiated by Kraft’s licensing agency, IMC Licensing.
